Membership is open to individuals, government institutions, private sector firms, non-governmental organisations, universities and schools.
The cost of membership is as follows:

Note: There is no charge each time a tape is borrowed.
Members can borrow two VHS video tapes at a time for a period of two weeks. In addition, members receive the following benefits:
- Invitations to all events (seminars, film screenings and workshops) organised by SLETP and TVE Asia Pacific in Sri Lanka
- Access to SLETP’s database of films on environment and development
- Free advice on how to organise video screenings
