Terms and Conditions of Membership

• Every member will receive a Membership Card. This card has to be presented when borrowing and returning videos.
  
  
• In the case of Institutional Membership, a representative of the institution is entitled to borrow videos, upon presenting the Membership Card.
  
  
• A maximum of two (2) videos can be borrowed at a time. Every borrowed cassette must be returned within 14 days.
  
  
• For each working day after the 14 day period, a fine of Rs. 5 per video cassette will be charged. This is payable, in cash, at the time of returning the videos.
  
• In the case of a prolonged delay in returning the videos or its misuse, the SLETP management reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership.
  
  
• If a video is found damaged beyond further use while on loan to a member, the replacement cost will be recovered from the member. It will be valued at Rs. 600 per video.
  
  
• Every video in the library is protected under the Intellectual Property Laws. Copying these tapes in part or full is strictly prohibited.
  
  
• An Evaluation Questionnaire is given with each video in order to provide Members with the opportunity to share their views on the programmes they have borrowed. Members are requested to return the completed Questionnaire when returning the cassettes.
  
  
• Members are responsible for the videos they borrow, and are requested to take sufficient care not to expose videos to heat, magnetic fields, dampness or any other damaging elements.
  
  
• The Library rules may be revised from time to time.
