Video programmes can be extremely effective in communicating complex messages in ways that most people can easily understand. Yet, many public and private institutions in Sri Lanka do not use the video medium widely for educational, training and awareness purposes. Why?

One reason is there aren’t enough video programmes of a kind that is most useful: in the local languages, using local situations and examples, and produced within the country.

Recognising this need, we established the Video Production Service which provides the full range of services for producing a new video film on a theme related to environment, development, health or human rights. We are not just another production house that films what you want. Our services cover the following:

• Communications planning advice on the most suitable print or audio-visual material for your need.
• Script research and development for video productions.
• Mobilising professional camera crew and equipment (in DV and Betacam)
• Engaging the services of top television professionals to be director and producer.
• Executive production services (reconnaissance, identifying locations, obtaining permission where necessary for filming, and all other logistics)
• Co-ordinating and conducting television interviews and/or studio inputs for the programme
• All post production services including editing, captions, titles, animations and music.

We have been commissioned by various donors, government agencies and NGOs to produce public awareness and education video programmes.

We do not undertake production of television commercials or programmes promoting commercial products or services.
